YOOtheme Pro ships with great built-in Sources. But every real project eventually needs more: a custom CRM, a niche booking system, a country-specific weather provider, an in-house product database, or OAuth-protected services like Notion, Google or Instagram. API Mapper is built to close exactly that gap. It connects any REST or GraphQL API, handles OAuth, merges multiple endpoints, applies filters and transforms, and surfaces everything as a native YOOtheme Source the Builder treats like any other.

In this talk I'll show what that looks like in practice. Live on stage, I'll build several integrations end to end and walk through where API Mapper fits into a typical YOOtheme project.

I'll close with a demo of the newly released MCP server, which lets you describe an integration in plain English to any AI client and have it scaffolded automatically as a YOOtheme Source. Useful both for first drafts and for non-technical team members who want to extend a Source themselves.

A short personal note runs through it all. I'm not a classically trained developer. I've spent 30 years across every layer of the web except the code itself, and API Mapper is the kind of tool I always wished existed for people like me. If that sounds familiar, this talk is for you.

I can't wait for the Joomla World Conference to happen! It will be my first, but I’m pretty sure the event will bring me inspiration, passion, knowledge and a great opportunity to meet all the JFriends I made in person, make new friends and help shape Joomla’s future. For years I have thought the global Joomla Community was not for me, but since I started working for the Joomla Community Magazine five years ago, I know better: everyone can contribute and everyone matters. I'm looking forward to meeting you there!
